MEMBERSHIP COMMITTEE AKA MEMBERSHIP MEETING COMMITTEE


THE COMMITTEE MEETS THE THIRD MONDAY OF EVERY MONTH IN THE HPPOA LIBRARY AT 1:00 P.M.


Committee Chair: Patricia Ruppert, Committee Members: Denise Hobby, Kathy Hollingsworth, Sarah Kay, Katherine Patton, Keala Stant


Our Mission Statement is defined as:
The Membership Committee will advocate and facilitate for an informed, educated and engaged membership Informed is defined as:
1. Provide resources and material to the membership about updates, upcoming events, current actions/motions
2. Research into providing a members’ website
3. Post signs for membership meeting and events
4. Utilize social media in an effort to promote member voice and involvement
5. Utilize mail to reach those members who are not technologically fluent
6. Assist with the membership newsletter, The Conch
7. Conduct informal meetings (such as townhalls) to update members about important issues
8. Send out informative Emails


Educate is defined as:
1. Conduct trainings and support to membership, as to what their HPPOA rights
are, and the processes (actions they may take if needed) if they feel those rights
have been violated
2. Conduct training in Robert’s Rules/common motions and terms
3. Educate members about the Bylaws (Print out booklets of the bylaws and circulate)
4. Educate members about the HPPOA budget, review and provide HPPOA reports

5. Provide the members with district maps and voting information
6. Provide members with Fed/State Information (law) regarding Corporate Non-profit and Homeowners’ Organizations


Engaged is defined as, We will:
1. Establish and maintain communication pathways
2. Provide a web portal for feedback and submittals
3. Provide sign-up sheets for committee participation
4. Provide comment slips at meetings
5. Post Comment slips at the HPPOA office and mailboxes
6. Assemble a list of members’ mailing addresses
