SPECTRUM’S FREE DIGITAL LITERACY EVENT

7/15/26 WEDNESDAY, 10AM-12PM

The goal of the event is to provide a valuable, community-centered resource for Kupuna by offering practical support around technology and online safety. We are planning for a digital literacy instructor to lead a one-hour class focused on topics such as staying safe online, recognizing and avoiding internet scams, and building confidence using digital tools.

We are also exploring bringing in volunteers from “Tech-Savvy Teens”. This is a group of skilled youth who can offer one-on-one tech support to attendees, which could make the event especially helpful for Kupuna with specific questions about their phones, tablets, or computers.

To make the event welcoming and accessible, spectrum would also provide a free lunch for attendees.
